Excursion – Ostrog Monastery – departure from Petrovac

Our organization of trip to Ostrog Monastery

Departure from Petrovac every day at 8 AM.
Excursion to Ostrog Monastery lasts from 8 AM until 4 PM.
The excursion fee is _ Euros for adults and _ Euros for children up to _ years old..
The price includes transportation by a high class bus, as well as a licensed tour guide who speaks English, French, Russian and Serbian language.

Ostrog Monastery

Excursion begins in Petrovac, and on our way towards Ostrog Monastery we will pass next to Skadar Lake and through the capital of Montenegro – Podgorica. We will be near the Lower Monastery in 2h 30min, where the bus ride will end, until we go back. After visiting the Lower Monastery, we will walk towards the Upper Monastery, where we will stay for 3 hours.

Near the Lower Monastery of Ostrog, there was a church dedicated to St.George, and it was renewed and upgraded several times. Today, a church dedicated to Presentation of Mary is found near the Lower Monastery. The Upper Monastery of Ostrog is found on 100m higher level, and is specific for its construction which had been incorporated into the steep cliff. Next to the Monastery, there is a church dedicated to the True Cross.
On our way back, we will have a lunch break and continue towards Petrovac, where we will arrive around 4 PM
